Herb Fest that funds Survivor Resource Network brings in 10,000 people a weekend in June, Oktoberfest helps to fund the Marland Mansion, which is a beautiful and historic tourist attraction. Even if you were never a wildcat – you can easily be an adopted member of the family by several ways. The incredible newly turfed football field welcomes fans, the local rotary club passes out dictionaries to every third-grade class, the state-of-the-art concert has 3-tiers of seating for optimal viewing, and many other ways to get involved and become an honorary wildcat.The 8 neighborhood elementary schools, 3 middles schools and one beautiful and historic high school building create a wonderful place for your family to learn.
The ratio of students to teachers is about 18 students to one teacher so the interaction and relationships are able to be formed.*

Ponca City’s art aficionados have been hugely influenced since the early 1900’s. EW Marland’s collections, Lew Wentz, The Matzene collection which is now housed at the Ponca City Library have been pivotal to the art’s culture in our area. In the 1970’s a group of artists created the Ponca City Art Association, now City Arts, which hosts the longest running Art Festival in Oklahoma.
A new generation of artist and art lovers are continuing this pathway by creating the Grand Art’s district, run by Ponca City Main Street. Making a large focus of many downtown initiative public art and art centric activities. The first downtown Art Crawl was hosted in 2020 and will be continued on an annual basis.
A grassroots community project to paint a mega mural on the grain elevator located in downtown Ponca City was completed in early 2020 and is slated to begin in 2021 which will also bring much needed facelift to a Ponca City staple.
Ponca City Public Schools passed a bond issue in 2017 to fund a state-of-the-art concert hall for all singing and instrumental performances in the school system. This also freed up space for the theatre program to ramp up their production schedule.
The historic Poncan Theatre houses not only a hand painted movie poster collection from the early 1900’s but also a production troupe for young actors, called Evan’s Children’s Academy.

Ponca City has unique annual events including motocross races, Pow Wows, Herb festival, an Art Festival, a PRCA 101 Wild West Rodeo, Brewfest, car shows, Oktoberfest, as well as many golf tournaments, cook-offs, fishing events, parades, live theatre, concerts, monthly fly-in breakfasts and various holiday events!
