Careers and Cookies

Careers and Cookies is a partnership program with Ponca City High School, affectionately nicknamed Po-Hi. Students use their study period to attend this once a month program that assists Junior and Seniors get ready for job training and job placement. Information covered in these programs include resume and job applications, interviewing, dressing appropriately and skills assessment. In January, these students attend a Career Luncheon with local industry and must cycle through three employers, making small talk, answering and asking questions. For many of these students, this is a first interview. Career & Cookies works with Junior and Senior students to set up job shadows, internships and formal job interviews during the spring break time frame.

Programs
