Weekly Update August 9, 2019

FOLLOWING UP WITH NUMBERS... was the usual at the PCDA board meeting this week. Numbers like reaching out to 44 new companies and checking in with 77 existing Ponca City companies. Don't forget our regional partners (79 touches) and our very good friends at the government with 16 "Hey, how you doin?". Board discussions included future workforce recruitment for demand jobs and future industry as well as how to keep Phase II companies here in Ponca City so they can grow into long time companies like Garaga/MidAmerica door and Precision Tool and Dye. Phase II companies are small one or two employee businesses on the edge of rapid growth. Staff reports were a whirlwind of details including marketing, the PCDA audit, Census 2020, Career & Cookies and so much more.

Coming up in the next few weeks, Staff members will be at the Governors' Economic Development and Workforce Summit happening next week, meeting with a neighboring community, recruiting Census 2020 volunteers, meeting with AIP businesses, developing a business plan with one or two new businesses and booking in those Fall and holiday gatherings here at City Central.

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
