More times than not, we hear that workforce is the number one need of employers, which is why we decided to grow our own workforce locally. While meeting employers’ needs is our main focus, this means we get to work to inspire the students and job seekers as well. Resume updating, interview skills, school programs and much more.

Wildcat Internship
Juniors and Seniors at Ponca City High School are set up with a local company for 10 hours a week during the school year. This costs the company nothing, and earns the student class credit. A great way to try out the careers you’ve been thinking of.

Ambassador Program
The best way to reach the next generation is from those closest to them, a peer. That’s why we’ve recruited and trained young professionals to tell their working story, company story and the snags along the way. Companies sponsor their young employees to go speak to classrooms, represent them at career fairs and have a “day in the life of” video made. A win/win for companies and students alike.
Girl Power
A summer STEM camp for 8th grade girls. Learning from the best and baddest ladies in Ponca City who work in a STEM career, and then getting to try their hand at some of those career skills – welding, construction, chemistry, 3D design, engineering.

Virtual Tours
While getting to be inside an industry and seeing the jobs available is the best way to learn, this virtual tour option is only second to that, and much easier to get out to the most students. Learning about primary industries in Ponca City, the jobs skills you’d need to work there, and doing it all from your iPad – it’s just cool.
Ponca Works Job Fairs
Twice a year we host a job fairs at no charge to employers. Marketing, facilities, and a large group of job seekers. We also partner with the local schools to ensure that graduating students are connected with the local employers for the best possible outcome of growing our local workforce! Follow our Facebook page to keep updated on these events.
