PoncaWorks Program

The goal of PoncaWorks is simple: To offer our friends and neighbors who may face relocation the option of staying, working and succeeding in Ponca City and now all through Kay County.

PoncaWorks includes initiatives to help entrepreneurs who have dreamed of starting their own business, help for a business to expand on the next "New Idea", hire another employee and recieve help with business intelligence, customer identification and marketing.  

The Kay County PoncaWorks program is outlined below. Please note that there are guidelines and application links listed below. More information or to answer any questions, please send an e-mail to info@goponca.com or call Katherine at 580-765-7070.  This program is open to any existing or new business located in Kay County that is not directly competing with another business in their community.   

2010 KAY COUNTY PONCAWORKS ENTREPRENEUR INCENTIVE

The Ponca City Development Authority (PCDA), as an innovation mechanism has created the "2010 KAY COUNTY PONCAWORKS ENTREPRENEUR INCENTIVE" to reward and spur new business development in the Ponca City Area. This incentive is up to a $5,000 reimbursement funded by the United Community Action Project to supplement Kay County area entrepreneur and start up resources and is based on adding at least a 20 hour employee to the business. A total of 10 grants will be available to Kay County businesses for 2010.   Also part of this application process is a free review of your existing business plan, customer identification, marketing plan assistance and project planning.

2009 PONCAWORKS RESUME MALL                             resume@goponca.com
The program will accept resumes from individuals interested in future, projected employment opportunities. This program is open to any Kay County resident with resumes being accepted electronically by PCDA through a electronic mailbox set up exclusively for this purpose. All resumes will be handled in strict confidence, only the partners will see the names of those who have sent their resumes to the mall.

Resumes will be reviewed by the partners for key talent fields and presentation and will be presented to potential companies "Blind" (without names). Resumes that fit company qualifications will be contacted by PCDA to continue the process on to the interview process.

PCDA is actively seeking resumes for sales positions and sales account manager for a web-based software firm, electrical engineers, welders and CDL drivers.  If you are interested in any of these types of positions, please forward your resume to resume@goponca.com with the interested position in the subject line.
