Katherine Long
BIOGRAPHY
Katherine Long serves as information and business intelligence data master of the Ponca City Development Authority, (PCDA) a position she has held since April, 2006.
Prior to joining PCDA, Katherine worked for the Tulsa City County Library System in Tulsa, Oklahoma as the Business Services Representative. She helped small business people in the Tulsa area better utilize the services and information available from the library system in Tulsa County, while organizing informative and well received business programs on topics such as marketing, accounting and successful business practices. Though not a librarian, Katherine believes the six years at the library has made her an excellent researcher and an advocate for small business.
Prior to the Tulsa Library, Katherine was with Outback Steakhouse, working as a national waitstaff, bartending and kitchen trainer, as well as one of the few female Kitchen Managers in the company. During Katherine's stint with Outback Steakhouse, she had the opportunity to work with her entire family (husband and daughter) and still rates this as one of the most fun times in her working life.
Katherine has worked for many professional companies including Northwestern Mutual Life and Citgo Petroleum while living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Having lived in Ponca City for two years, Katherine decided that her parents needed to move closer and relocated them to Ponca from Tulsa in 2008.
Katherine and her husband Stephen have one child, Gabrielle and one grandson, Benjamin. Gabby and Benjamin recently moved to Ponca City and now are actively recruiting others to take a look at "life in Ponca".
